We supply Invar 42 _ 1.3917 raw material, semi-finished products and offer CNC machining from small quantities to series production.

Invar 42 is also known as Nilo alloy 42 and has the material number 1.3917 and is subject to the American standard ASTM F30. Invar 42 is a nickel-iron alloy with 42% nickel (remainder iron). The advantage of Alloy 42 is that it has a very low expansion at temperatures below 300°C, which is only one tenth of that of conventional steel. Invar 42 is therefore primarily used in areas where expansion when heat is introduced is undesirable. Alloy 42 is often used in laser technology, high-precision technology, aerospace and measuring devices.

By combining Invar 42 with a highly expanding material, a thermomechanical control switch can also be realized through the different movements.

Invar 42 is a tough material but can be milled and turned with the right tools and experience. We would be happy to take over the CNC processing of Alloy 42 (1.3917) for your individual components according to your drawing.
